[Lambda puts her teacup down and leans over in her chair.]

"Hey, Bern, are you enjoying my game? You are, right?"

"It's passable. Enough to kill some time, maybe."

"No wa~y, I deserve more praise than that..."

Who is Beatrice?

"Beato turned out to make a great toy, didn't she? Of course, I've got a great eye for picking out these things. I can play with a single toy for hundreds of years without getting tired of it."

"*giggle*, that's right, she's made quite the splendid plaything. But perhaps you should pick your kids a little more carefully. You've become the guardian of a useless doll."

Who is Battler?

"Like you're one to talk! Way to pick such an incompetent piece. He's a total embarrassment of a player! If you hadn't taken over for him, I'm pretty sure I'd be finishing him off right about now."

What is the victory condition of this game?

[Lambda continues.]

"Yep, I'm sure of it! By now he'd have surrendered completely--all like 'IT'S USELESS, IT'S ALL USELESS! You're telling me I have no choice but to accept the existence of witches?!' Kyahaha, what a pathetic guy!"

[considers] What is a story Lambda would find embarrassing?

"You're one to talk. Are you trying to say you've never lost pathetically? Like that one time--"

"Ahhhh~!! That has nothing to do with this!"

[giggles, and desists for now. Are there any paths out of the room?]

[zettai]

[There doesn't seem to be any sort of door or pathway, but you may notice that the views in the windows have became much more clear, and now show entirely new settings. In one window you see what looks like the conclusion of a trial in a large cathedral, in another you can see a heated battle around a chessboard, and in yet another a large gathering of people in a gorgeous garden.]

[The images seem to be chopped up into a sort of soundless slideshow, almost like a sort of preview for the real show. Some of the images you see include Lambda apparently presiding as a judge, Beatrice trying to hold her ground despite looking quite desperate, and Bern sneering as she's thrown into a pit of goats.]

[watches that through, and goes onto the next window with the chess board]

[The images show in a similar way to the previous window. Battler, Beato, Lambda, Bern, and Erika are gathered around a chessboard. It seems to be largely a fight between Battler and Erika, with Beato and even Lambda looking fairly concerned while Bern appears smug. You might or might not be able to gather from the images that Lambda appears to be in the role of judge once again.]

[Is a pretty short one. Lambda is surrounded by an extremely large group of people--familiar faces among them would be Battler and Beato, though you might remember some of the other faces from glimpses you saw in the window earlier--talking to her, and she appears to explode in a fit of rage before calming down and then becoming completely unresponsive.]

[finds that interesting, but moves on pretty quickly. Has anything about the room changed during that?

[There seems to be a door on the opposite side of the room.]

[It takes you to what looks like a small hallway opening, with another door at the other end of the hall, and next to that door a little table with cutely wrapped chocolates neatly arranged on top of it.]

[eyes the chocolates a bit warily, but tries one.]

[It's a perfectly normal and quite tasty chocolate. Though if you're paying attention, you might catch a glimpse of something on the inside of the wrapper you had to tear off.]

[More interested in that than the chocolate, really. What is it?]
